In one of the interviews with Jack, he said something very interesting. When he started hitting winning majors, he said his actual golf game (swing, strategy, etc) didn't change or got better. What changed was his discipline, his focus on the shot. He said that once he learned to control his emotions and not let things bother him (bad shot, noisy crowd, etc), that is when his game improved and elevated to the next level. In my opinion, it's that discipline and focus is what I think seperates the top amateurs from the tour pros... and the tour pros from the major championship winners. All these guys I'm talking about have great swings, they can putt really well, and they all can hit the same type of quality shots... its this discipline that really seperates them. Jack was the best at it bar-none, and it looks like Tiger has mastered this nearly as well.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12385856.post-1122780335975133322005-07-30T20:20:00.000-07:002005-08-08T22:58:39.420-07:00Mizuno IronsSo how about a little iron talk. If I were to buy a new set of irons right now, I would be leaning towards these two: MP32 and MP30. What I am looking for is a forged blade look and a forged blade feel with just a enough forgiveness to help out this weekend warrior. The MP30 is by far the most forgiving of the two. However, the MP32 is something to be desired for the shotmaker in me. And from what I read online, it is quite forgiving for a blade too. Here is some quotes from the Mizuno Golf website describing these two amazing sets of forged carbon steel:

(Mizuno Golf) The new MP-32™ iron with Cut Muscle™ design technology is the player's club for the modern game of golf.
